Dear Mortal #week 1
To the mortal who never was:
Hi,
To be honest, I have never seen you before and have no idea
how you look like but I’d like it to remain this way. I think it’s fun, snail
mail has died, I want to revive it and I love writing …sometimes. We’ll remain
anonymous throughout this charade.
My job here is to make your week ahead a better one so I’m
gonna start off with something I have been doing recently. But you must
understand that I’m pretty much a jackass. I think we all need that in our
lives. Not entirely jackass per se, but the daring and bold initiative to
choose an extreme style. I realized many people are usually afraid to offend
and they become very neutral people. They sit on the fence. It hurts their
balls. We offend some, we please some. We can’t please everyone with a particular
style but at least you would have people appreciating and you would also head
somewhere with your particular style; rather than just being a yes-man. That
being said, it’s not the nice people who lose out but the naive ones.
What I would like you to try is to GREET SOMEONE NEW
EVERYDAY. It is ultimately your
call.
It's gonna feel different at first. And to avoid looking
like a delinquent, step a distance away from your group of friends before you
greet the stranger. Asians are generally
passive. There is nothing wrong with that. It’s in our culture. This means that
8 out of 10 of the people greeted would pretend that they didn’t see me or
ignore me as though I’m an asshole making a dig at them. I have been reforming
and perfecting the art of greeting a stranger and looking back, I do admit at
the beginning stage, it probably did pass off as though I’m disturbing them.
But hey! In recent times, more strangers in school have been reciprocating is a
nice fashion. Mainly the local girls and guys a-like. There is a nice and warm
feeling that accompanies it. Try it.
Loosen up and take life easy.
Live love laugh,
PS: Btw, I want to break out of my current course into
business. This is definitely not what I enjoy doing. We'll see how things go
next year. And |sidebar| this is actually nice haha. I already have a topic for next week.
That's all folks! I never had the chance to meet this mortal.
